This is a top ten list of things locals in Hawaii do for fun, often cheap or free!

	"Borrow" a serving tray from a food court to body surf at the beach. For some reason, these trays give a better ride than most expensive boards.
	Eat at Zippys. Zippy's is the local restaurant of choice. They are open 24 hours a day, and serve such a large variety of food, everyone can find something to eat.
	Eat some shave ice. Shave ice is kind of like a snow cone, but not nearly as hard, comes in many flavors, and is often offered with extras like mochi, ice cream, azuki beans and condensed milk. It sounds complicated, but it's delicious, really!
	Get a camera, drive a round and take pictures at all the scenic sites available. Hawaii is so beautiful and historical that you'll get awesome pictures.
	Go to the Super Swap Meet. It seems cheesy, but it is fun to look at all the things people have made, drink the milk from a chilled coconut, and see all the bargains available.
	Go to the beach. Duh. You are in Hawaii, why wouldn't you see the most beautiful beaches in he world.
	Go to Mokuleia and just have a picnic. I've seen whales swimming off the shores there, dolphins jumping and playing, sea turtles surfing the waves and even a Hawaiian Monk Seal sunning himself on the sand. Just don't touch these animals and enjoy them from afar.
	Grab a snorkel and check out the crazy underwater sea life in our waters. Pupukea and Hanauma Bay are great calm places to just float and observe life under the surface.
	Go on a hike. There are very scenic spots in Hawaii, just check out all safety warnings, stay on the trail and if it has been rainy, don't wear shoes you'd like to keep.
	Eat a Plate Lunch anywhere you want. Plate lunch is a meal consisting of a main dish, rice, and some variation of salad (green salad, macaroni salad, potato salad, etc..). Usually gotten to go, and can be enjoyed anywhere with a seat to sit down. There are so many places to get a great plate lunch, just assume that if the business has survived Hawaii's tough business climate, they must be pretty good.
