The movie with no name finally has a name - "Cloverfield". But no defined monster. The internet is abuzz with speculation about the trailer that premiered with the Transformers that featured an attack on New York City by "something," documented in Blair Witch fashion with no name. Here is a list of what the movie monster could be.
| | Here is the trailer for all that are curious.
|
| | Godzilla- Could the mysterious film be a re-launch of the Godzilla franchise? If anyone can make us forget that horrible Matthew Broderick film from the 90's it's JJ Abrams. Plus, a Godzilla attack documented in Blair Witch fashion, how cool would that be? |
| | Voltron- With the popularity of Transformers and a script already in the works for another popular robot cartoon from the 80's, could the film be a Voltron movie? The shape-changing robot is a great possibility for the film. |
| | Lost spin-off-Could the film be a spin-off the the mega-hit Lost? The show coincidently produced and created by JJ Abrams is steeped in mystery and strange happenings. The trailer showed something attacking New York City, possibly an escaped smoke monster? |
| | Armageddon- No not the corny Ben Affleck movie from the 90's but maybe the film is about the end of the world, and how normal, every-day people will experience it. Wait, wasn't that the plot for War of the Worlds? |
| | Cthulhu- Most fans around the internet community believe the movie to be about the famous monster created by legendary author H.P Lovecraft. Lovecraft is the creator of the old ones, a group of legendary monsters including Cthulhu, an octopus looking one. Also, if you listen closely in the trailer it appears as if someone says "it's a lion" which is also a monster in Lovecraft's old ones. |
