"You might just make it after all!" Mary Tyler Moore was my goddess in the grocery aisle, tossing the cold cuts into the basket and, later in the theme song, tossing her hat into the air. She was a hard act to follow, but here are some other women who rocked the small screen.

	Rhoda. She was more than a spin-off.
	Charlie's Angels. All three of them, but particularly Kate Jackson.
	Cagney and Lacey. Those lady cops knew how to crack some heads together.
	Carol Burnett. I used to sneak out of bed to watch her.
	Elaine on Seinfeld. She seemed like the modern day Mary Richards, the single gal making her way in the big city.
	The Golden Girls. Nah, not really!
