The beach. Not nearly as crowded as any of the Los Angeles beaches and it's still very clean and swim able

Food on the beach is great. try the clam chowder.

San Luis Obispo is a college town with a great downtown area for shopping and hanging out.

Hurst Castle is a great place to visit that is nearby.

Pismo is a great place to ride 4 wheelers (rentable) and dune buggies on the sand.
