Words a 4th Grader Should Be Able to Spell  
SCHOOL DAYS

This particular list was given to several of my students from various schools in Columbus Ohio. The words are called “No Excuse” words, probably because there should be “no excuse” for not knowing them. I don’t know the source, but I hope you find it useful. And we thought this one was pretty funny. As a matter of fact, I spelled 2 wrong myself. Comment by: reginaphylange I think that this could be a very good guide to what a child chould know by the time that they reach the fourth grade but I do not agree that it is a list of words that a child MUST know.
