Odd Japanese Inventions
STRANGE
Tags: weird technology, technology, Japan, weird Japanese
Japan has brought us a lot of great technology that we use everyday and can't imagine ever having lived without. It has also brought us some of the weirdest stuff you could think of...actually, some of it's pretty genius....
| | Personal rain saver - an inverted umbrella with a hose attached to a plastic bucket that you carry by a shoulder strap |
| | Portable office tie - necktie with pockets on the back for holding credit cards, pens, even scissors |
| | Hay fever hat - a roll of toilet paper attached to a chin strap so you can just pull some down in front of your face when you need to blow your nose |
| | Fresh air mask - similar to an oxygen tube, but it attaches to a plastic bag with a live plant inside |
| | Eye drop funnels - a pair of glasses with small funnels on each lens: just tip your head back, pour in your drops and they go straight into your eyes |
| | Chopsticks with fan - a mini fan attached to chopsticks so you can cool down your noodles faster as you eat them |
| | Stick butter - butter packaged in gluestick-like containers so you don't have to dirty a knife |
| | Back scratching t-shirt - the back of it is covered in a grid similar to the one found in the game Battleship so you can just call out "D-9!" and have just the right spot scratched |
| | Nap Man/Woman - kind of like an invisible fence collar but for your wrist: gives you a 1-volt shock if you nod off while wearing it |
| | Sun tattoo cap - the adjustable band in the back has a cutout of a phrase: just wear the cap backwards and let the sun burn the words into your skin |
