How to Frolf Better
Do's/Don'ts
Tags: Frolf, Disc, Golf, Improve, Better, How-to
Having problems with your drive, approach, or putt? Here are some tips to dropping some strokes off your round.
| | -Driving- | | | Throw backhand, forehand may be more powerful initially, but with practice a backhand through will go further and be more accurate, there is a reason most professional disc golfers throw backhand. | | | Throw the disc as level as possible, do not throw it high up into the air, when it stops, it will come BACKWARDS! | | | For further distances, throw a lighter disc around 150g, a couple of grams can make a big difference. | | | Make sure you account for wind, do not assume your throw will be unaffected by the wind. | | | -Approach- | | | Play it safe, if you are out of putting range, try to put it at the base of the pole hole, not in it. | | | Use an approach disc, I know you want to throw that driver again, but chances are you can get your approach disc there as well. | | | -Putt- | | | Use a putter, a lot of people like to use only one disc for the whole course, but because you will putt at a slow speed, drivers and approach discs will curve a lot, while a putter will fly much straiter. | | | Find your rhythm, everyone has a different style of putting while some may be better than others, the most important thing is finding what works for you, then keeping with that method till you have perfected it, don't try to imitate others who putt better than you and frequently change your style. |
