Livin' the healthy lifestyle...a few tips to keep you "in the know"

You can pick up a "fitness" magazine from just about anywhere, but unfortunately most of them provide information that is incorrect. I am here to give you a few tips that are current and TRUE.
| | Eat Breakfast every morning...it really gets your metabolism moving. It's like fueling your car- the more fuel you have the longer and more efficient your car (ie body will function) |
| | EXERCISE: you must burn more calories than you consume to loose weight. Go for an extra 10 minutes during your walk. Adding a little extra can help you reach your goals. |
| | Do NOT cut down calories by too much. Your body needs a certain amount of carbs, fats, and protein to function properly. Try cutting out sodas and processed foods...you'll see a difference |
| | "Use it or loose it": the more you sit around the higher your risk for sarcopenia and other age related diseases. Muscle loss is a huge problem in middle age to older adults...Keep moving!! |
| | Consult with your DR: they know you best and can help you make the right decisions about your plan of action. |
