1. 1.) Mary Hawley Bridge: Hang out, have a picnic, enjoy some tunes from your car. Great place to get together with friends to just hang out and chat.
2. 2.) Dickinson Park: Great place to have a picnic, enjoy the park, or play friendly game of basketball
3. 3.) Mocha: Great place to hang out, no need to buy anything. Comfy, cozy, nice for a workspace too.
4. 4.) Treadwell Park: Nice to play some softball, enjoy a great day outside. Some sheltered area, so even if it's not ideal out, not a bad place.
5. 5.) Bike Trails: These are all over the place in newtown, all you have to do is check online. Start with google and search Newtown + Bike trails.
6. 6.) Geocaching: A lot like a scavanger hunt, for big people. this is free, mostly. The only thing you need is a GPS. Online, search for geocaching in Newtown and you'll find plenty of locations and stuff to search for.
7. 7.) Downtown Sandy Hook: Plenty of shops and outdoor areas to hang around at with friends or family.
8. 8.) C.H. Booth Library: If you're into town history and books, this place is great. Nice and quiet and a wonderful place to hang out if you find yourself bored with little company
9. 9.) Main Street; Full of shops and beautiful sceneray. Nice place to walk.
10. 10.) Castle Hill Bench: Looks out over Newtown, absolutely beautiful int he evening. Another great place to gather with friends for late-night chatting.
