Colic: Sharp abdominal pain which can cause babies great distress. In breast-fed babies, colic can be caused by spicy or acidic food in the mother's diet, or the mother's anxiety. In bottle-fed infants, air swallowing is the most likely cause. Remedies to be given every 20 minutes for up to five doses, using 6c or 30c. The list below displays the remedies and when to use them.

	Chamomilla: The baby can't be satisfied, but seems to improve when carried around
	Colocynth: Firm pressure on the stomach relieves the symptoms. Also indicated if the baby also has diarrhoea. The baby wants to curl up
	Mag phos: Spasms relieved by warm and gentle pressure
	Bryonia: The baby is irritable, screams at the slightest movement and wants to be still
	Ignatia: Where the breastfeeding mother is emotionally upset
	Nux Vom: Where the breastfeeding mother has eaten spicy food
