Everyone's heard of Shakespeare, Robert Frost, T.S. Eliot... but who's good in poetry right now? This is a list of the best poets of today that you've (probably) never heard of.

Kay Ryan. She's the current poet laureate of America, and her writing is crisp, concise and funny.

Billy Collins. A favorite of Garrison Keillor's, Collins has been on A Prairie Home Companion and in Keillor's book "Good Poems."

Galway Kinnell. His poems are dark, disturbing and electric. Go out and buy "The Book of Nightmares" or "Body Rags" - you won't regret it.

Alice Fulton. A MacArthur Foundation Genius Award recipient, Fulton is a force to be reckoned with, and her poems often merge literature with the sciences.

Dean Young. A surrealist poet with a great sense of humor, Young's books are full of pop culture references.
