Best Things To Do In Boston
BESTS
Tags: Boston, travel
These are things that I like to do with people who visit me. Even though I am a native Bostonian, I never tire of going to the different landmarks.
| | The Freedom Trail - just follow a trail through the city to see some great history; the site of the Boston Massacre, Paul Revere's House, Kings' Chapel, Old North Church to name a few. The park rangers are full of interesting information. |
| | Duck Tour - fun tour on an amphibious tank-like thing that goes into the Charles River. They even used these to take the Red Sox and Patriots around after winning their championships. Great tour guides! |
| | Shopping along Newbury Street - a lot of fun, interesting boutiques. |
| | Have high tea at the Ritz or the Four Seasons - see how the other half lives. After shopping and sightseeing, sit in luxury, look out onto Boston Gardens from either hotel and enjoy being served yummy scones and little sandwiches. |
| | Walk down by the waterfront - it isn't all stores and restaurants. There is a lot of history in the wonderful old buildings and gliding on the harbor. |
| | Take a harbor tour - lots of tours to the islands that surround Boston Harbor. Park rangers tell of some great history and how the islands were named. |
| | Have a drink at Top of the Hub - very romantic, beautiful view. Go at sunset and prepare to be dazzled. |
