1. Tiffany - Hold An Old Friend's Hand - This pop ballad is sweet, profound, and Tiffany's raspy voice really pays off. Be sure to check it out as well as her later albums like New Inside, Dreams Never Die, The Color of Silence, Dust Off & Dance, and Just Me.
2. Debbie Gibson - Anything is Possible - By far the greatest Debbie Gibson track ever written. I recommend the video and live performances. Electrifying!
3. Madonna - Causing a Commotion - Held of the #1 spot by Michael Jackson, Causing a Commotion (from the 87 flick "Who's That Girl"), this follow up to Into the Groove has an amazing beat and a fun chorus from the one and only queen of pop.
4. Belinda Carlisle - Leave a Light On - Powerhouse pop rock and Belinda's wavering voice really make for a dramatic 80s moment.
5. Latoya Jackson - Heart Don't Lie - Latoya got a bad rap because of her controlling husband, but her 1984 single Heart Don't Lie is stellar and worth a real listen.
