Tips on How to Boil an Egg
INFORMATIVE ListAfterList List

Some tips on the art, and it is an art, of boiling eggs

1. Use OLD eggs.. at least a week or two after you have purchased them at the grocery. The older eggs will peel easier than fresh eggs.
2. Get the eggs out of the fridge and let them "warm" to room temperature before you boil them
3. Put eggs in sauce pan and add enough cold water to cover them
4. COVER and bring to a boil on high heat
5. Once at a boil turn heat off and remove pan from heat.
6. Let stand for 10 minutes in covered sauce pan
7. Pour off hot water and run Coldwater over the eggs and let them stay in the cold water for at least 10 minutes. A combination of ice and water works best.
8. Cracking the egg in multiple areas makes it easier to peel.
