George Angus, Examiner.com's Alaska Transportation Examiner suggests this top ten list for checking on a used car before you buy. Check out this short list below then click the link to George's detailed advice
| 1. | Get a vehicle history report. Carfax is an excellent resource. |
| 2. | Open the hood and check the fluid levels |
| 3. | Dirt in the engine compartment is ok. |
| 4. | Check for gaps. Look at the gaps between the doors and the fenders and quarter panels. |
| 5. | Check the tires for uneven wear |
| 6. | Take the thing for a test drive |
| 7. | Get an idea of the alignment. |
| 8. | Check the brakes. |
| 9. | Make sure everything works. If there's a knob, turn it. If there's a button, push it. If there's a lever, flip it |
| 10. | Open the hood one last time with the motor running. Make certain there are no unwanted sounds. |
