My ten favorite ethnic restaurants to eat at in Lenexa or Overland Park, Kansas.
| | 1.) Thai Orchard - I'm not sure if this is directly in Overland Park but it is definitely a treat if you get to go. I don't think I've had anything there that wasn't incredible. |
| | 2.) Korma Sutra - The delicious curry sauces and never ending supply of Naan bread are good enough to make this restaurant number one. Its only detriment is the wait staff that hovers over you, never lets a centimeter of your water (or obligatory mango lasse and chai tea) glass go empty. |
| | 3.) Rucchi - Rucchi also serves Indian food. Their entrees aren't as good as Korma Sutra's, but you can eat them in relative peace. |
| | 4.) Cafe Saang - Some of the best curry you will ever eat. |
| | 5.) KC Grill and Kabob - A less-known Persian restaurant in Lenexa that serves delicious kabob meals for dinner. If you aren't sure whether to order the kifta (beef) or chicken kabobs, or what the difference is between the chicken and the fowl, the weekend lunch buffet is a cheap and delicious way to try everything out. |
| | 6.) Jerusalem Cafe - Unfortunately located behind a Taco Bell, this restaurant has the best lentil soup I have ever had. When you come in, starving, the lentil soup comes out right away so you don't die before you get a delicious plate of kabobs, salad, and rice. |
| | 7.) Bo-Lings - a delicious small-chain Chinese restaurant with everything you could want when you crave GOOD Chinese food. On Sunday mornings, participating restaurants have dim sum. Carts of various pot-stickers, mini-noodle dishes, meats, vegetables, and spring rolls are presented to your table and you can grab whatever you want. It's delicious. |
| | 8.) Chen Dynasty - A nice little place if you want the Chinese buffet experience in a non-sketchy restaurant. |
| | 9.) Shogun Japanese Restaurant - I would eat anything if they cooked it in a sushi roll. They're that good. |
| | 10.) Thai Place - This earns the number ten spot because the medium spiced food (if you can handle SPICY) is delicious. Don't order the mild if you're expecting flavor and don't go there at all if you're expecting low prices. |
