TV Shows That Should Have Been Cancelled After One Season
IMHO
Tags: TV, television, cancel, cancelled, season, bad, worst
Some of our favorite shows have been cancelled before their time. Oh Arrested Development, how I miss you! Some, on the other hand, have inexplicably lasted beyond their first season, despite how much they suck.
| | Private Practice: This show could have died of writer's strike scurvy like some other new shows, but it persisted. One season in and the characters have already run out of people to sleep with. It's time to move on from this one, folks. |
| | Two and a Half Men: What makes this show fail to impress me (besides its lead actor) is its title. It bothers me. That kid is not a half man, first of all. He's so huge he could be considered one whole man plus another half of one. I always expect there to be someone with no legs in this show and since there isn't, people should have tuned out from it long ago. |
| | CSI:NY: The problem with all of these spin-off CSI shows is that eventually they are going to run out of creative ways to murder people and find their killers. I mean, they already have. They should be concentrating on the original CSI, which has really fallen in the crapper as of late. I will never forget the episode with the man who got aroused by paying women to treat him like a baby. I feel ill just thinking about it... |
| | CSI: Miami: I'd much rather watch CSI: Alaska. At least there would be a different climate. Snow crimes and all that. Again it's just sucking the life out of the original so that CBS can get more viewers. I really thought this one would fail. It's too much CSI! The lead actor is known for starring in failed shows! It was supposed to die after season one, but it found viewership anyway. |
| | Heroes: The season one built up and up and up to a finale that eventually fizzled instead of popped. People were left scratching their heads and thinking, "That was it?" I at first felt that the show needed another season to redeem itself after that sloppy mess, but little did I realize that it would only get worse. If I had known Maya was coming, I would have wanted it to end after season one. |
| | Deal or No Deal: There's nothing to this game. It's not even a game really. It's a series of decisions based on the odds being against you. If you're not playing the game yourself, how interesting can it possibly be to watch other people take a half an hour to pick a case with a penny in it? I would only watch this show again if someone forgot Howie's phobias and succeeded in shaking his hand. Unclean! |
| | The Bachelor/ette: Both incarnations of this show failed to draw my interest. I thought that after the first season of both, people would realize how contrived the shows are and viewers would switch over to something else. I was sadly wrong. Every time they make a new one I have to say to myself "Is this still on?" |
