The Very Best of South Park
BESTS
Tags: south park, comedy, american television
So, you are new to South Park. Although the episodes are generally amusing, some seem to be much, MUCH funnier than others. Here is a list of my favorite episode of each season (and I've seen every one) with a mini-summary for each.
| 1. | Damien - The new kid in school turns out to be the son of Satan, who has sent his son to South Park in order to set up a confrontation with Jesus Christ, who hosts a South Park based talk show. |
| 2. | Prehistoric Ice Man - This episode is a hilarious parody of the 90s movie Encino Man (starring Brendan Frasier). Instead of a caveman, the man preserved in ice hails from the year 1996. |
| 3. | Sexual Harassment Panda - The boys learn about sexual harassment from a special speaker at school, and Cartman promptly begins a wave of sexual harassment lawsuits. |
| 4. | Do the Handicapped Go to Hell (& Probably) - This two-part episode starts out with the boys asking their Catechism teacher if Timmy will be allowed into Heaven since he cannot speak to confess his sins. By the end, it has turned into Cartman creating a very zealous church and gaining a following in order to swindle South Park's God-fearing children out of their milk money. |
| 5. | The Super Best Friends - A cult of David Blaine fans recruit in South Park before trying to gain tax-exemption as a 'real' religion. Jesus, Buddha, Moses, and other relgious figures unite as a superhero team to stop them. |
| 6. | Jared Has Aides - The popular Subway spokesman stops in South Park and tells everyone that "AIDES" is the secret to his diet success. Confusing his meaning (thinking he means the disease instead of a nutritionist and personal trainer) the townspeople try to kill him. |
| 7. | Good Times With Weapons (my VERY fave) - The boys trick a knife salesman into selling them weapons at the state fair. The episode switches between South Park style animation and anime style while they are pretending to be ninjas. |
| 8. | Marjorine - The boys are convinced that the Girls' Cootie Catcher has real psychic powers, so they force Butters to dress as a girl in order to infiltrate a sleepover. |
| 9. | Tsst - Cartman's mother seeks the help of nanny reality shows to get his behavior under control, but the only reality tv star able to help is a dog trainer. |
| 10. | With Apologies to Jesse Jackson - Stan's dad mistakenly says the 'N Word' on television and must deal with the consequences. (This episode was intended to poke fun of the Michael Richards of Seinfeld incident) |
| 11. | Tonsil Trouble - Cartman must get his tonsils removed, and somehow winds up with AIDS. |
