These are some helpful tips on prepare your garden for the nasty weather that winter brings with it.

	Water your trees until the ground freezes
	Transplant shrubs or small tress
	Rake up fallen leaves each week, because grass still needs sunlight
	Consider shredding fall leaves to use as mulch
	Spray your lawn weeds in the month of October
	Apply winterizing lawn fertilizer
	Do a last weeding
	Put plastic or mesh wire around the slender trunks of trees
	Pull out any last frosted annuals
	Plant spring flowering blubs before the ground freezes
	Apply a layer of winter mulch to perennial beds once the ground freezes
