Description and Symptoms of Stomach Cancer

Stomach cancer is the result of cell changes in the lining of the stomach. Stomach cancer (also called gastric cancer) can develop in any part of the stomach and may spread throughout the stomach and to other organs; particularly the esophagus and the small intestine.

| | Nausea and vomiting |
| | Diarrhea or constipation |
| | Bloating of the stomach after meals |
| | Weight loss |
| | Weakness and fatigue |
| | Bleeding (vomiting blood or having blood in the stool), which can lead to anemia |
| | These can be symptoms of other health problems, such as a stomach virus or gastric ulcer, and diagnosis should be done by a gastroenterologist or an oncologist. |
