How to Eliminate Garden Moles and Earth Worms
HOW TO
Tags: Earth Worms, Moles, Eliminate Pests, Pests, Garden Pests
Moles be gone! This works for some people, though earthworms are important to any garden.
| 1. | Get a bottle of Peppermint Oil and a pocketful of cotton balls. |
| 2. | Walk around your lawn or garden, locating every entry/exit hole. |
| 3. | Hold the cotton ball over the lip of the peppermint oil bottle, and tip the bottle up--in other words, soak the cotton ball with the peppermint oil. |
| 4. | Drop the soaked cotton ball into the hole. |
| 5. | Repeat as new tunnels form, if they do. Apparently these critters hate peppermint oil. |
| 6. | You do NOT want to get rid of the earthworms!!!! They are good for the soil, they aerate the ground and provide a natural (although in very small amounts) fertilizer to the soil. The only time I take earthworms out of my soil is when I need a few for bait when I go fishing. |
