NYC, Aruba and Stonehenge: Overrated Places
WORSTS
Tags: Overrated, Places, Beaches, Vacation, Most, Top, City, Country, Locations
This is the list of what some folks consider to be overrated places in the world (cities, beaches, countries, buildings, etc.). Do you agree? Have a few of your own to add?
| | Miami Beach - It was something back in Jackie Gleason's day, but then people found all the other places that had beaches |
| | Los Angeles - unless you like smog and free parking on the Interstate |
| | Turin, Italy - now that the Olympics are gone, it's back to just being Turnin, Italy |
| | The Smithsonian Museums - the 10% of really interesting stuff is surrounded by the 90% of stuff that isn't |
| | Stonehenge - very large stones. Now, if you added pagan nude dancing then maybe we would reconsider |
| | Monterray Bay Aquarium - It's an Aquarium, by a bay. We think it would be much more interesting by a desert. |
| | Las Vegas casinos - when you lose, which is most of the time. |
| | Atlanta - Key landmark is a cable news building. |
| | Virginia Beach - it is either too cold or too many people are playhing their radio too loud. |
| | Magen's Beach on St. Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands |
| | Daytona Beach - (the week of the Daytona 500 is an exception of course) |
| | Hard Rock Café - lacy bras from Madonna's aren't enough to keep this establishment on the "in" list |
| | the Grand Canyon - a very, very large hole in the ground. |
| | Weddings - unless it's yours of course. |
| | Niagara Falls - lots of falling water. Right up there with rain. |
