How to Pass a Speech and Drama Exam

For those of us who are more introverted, passing a drama or speech course can prove to be rather difficult. Here is how you can pass a speech or drama exam.

1.	Make sure you know your words. Once the words are in your head you can speak them as your own.
2.	Fully understand the meaning of your piece.
3.	Read the syllabus thoroughly. If you're going to the trouble to learn the pieces make sure they're the right pieces.
4.	Check if you need to take copies into the exam room with you.
5.	Smile. Smiling creates saliva which will prevent your mouth from drying out.
6.	Don't panic if you go wrong. The examiners are looking for your good points not your faults. If you forget your words you haven't automatically failed.
7.	Answer questions in sentences and be loud enough to be heard.
8.	Enjoy the experience.
