How to Play Dead

Playing dead is not just something you can teach your dog to do. In the acting world actors are often asked to perform a death scene. Playing dead well is essential to creating the effect the director is attempting to acheive.
| 1. | Check the area around you. Make sure you can safely fall without getting hurt or hurting others. |
| 2. | Begin a death act. This can include clutching your chest, gasping or making pained noises, or anything else you like. |
| 3. | Let your knees buckle. Make sure your knees or thighs hit the ground before your torso. |
| 4. | Let the rest of your body fall limp to the ground. |
| 5. | Lie perfectly still for as long as the death must take effect. |
