How to Act Around Your Girlfriend's Parents

Meeting the parents can be a very nerve racking experience if you do not know how to act. Remember, that they want to like you because their daughter does too but you are going to have to earn it. Here is some great know how on making a great impression.
| 1. | Be very polite to them. |
| 2. | Never curse at them or their daughter in front of them or close to them. Better yet, don't do it at all. |
| 3. | Do not disrespect them. Let them say what they want to say. If you oppose it, say it. They will like the fact that you have your own mind. |
| 4. | Do not do anything to your girlfriend that you know you will regret because her parents will find out. And if you do, keep it to yourselves. It should be on a need to know basis and they don't need to know! |
| 5. | Do not act phony, they will know it! |
| 6. | Treat their daughter with respect! Act the perfect gentleman, opening and holding doors for her (and maybe them) and so on. |
| 7. | Be on your best behavior. Talk a nice amount but ask questions and try not to be nervous. |
| 8. | When visiting them, do not dress inappropriately; they will hate it. |
| 9. | When you're at their house don't be too sexually active since you could easily be caught. If they catch you being sexually involved with their daughter, they will hate it and think it is inappropriate. |
