Born on February 25, 1841, Renoir became one of the most profound and influential French Impressionist painters, with paintings exhibited in The Louvre in Paris and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

| | A series known as "The Bathers" showed his ability to depict the lustrous, pearly color and texture of skin. |
| | He died at Cagnes on December 3, 1919. |
