Getting yourself known can be one of the most challenging parts of being a Real Estate Agent. This is also one of the many keys to your success. Here are some great tips on how you can put yourself out in the public eye and gain some lucrative business.

1. Coffee Talk- Inviting local members of the media to coffee or lunch is a great way to get some publicity. Let them know the areas which you are an expert. Be sure and make them aware of the biggest problems that buyers and sellers are currently having and how you can help them with this problem. It also doesn't hurt to give them story ideas, even if it isn't about real estate. This will establish you as a credible source for the reporter in the futrue.
2. Keep contact - fax, mail, or e-mail Real Estate tips, industry reports, or trade publications to local members of the media. This will keep your name at the front of their minds.
3. Think Creatively - How can you get people to see your face and remember your name? What helps you remember others? Ask yourself these questions and implement your creative ideas.
4. Words are power - Write letters to the editor, people will see your name and help to establish a relationship with them. You can also submit columns, write articles for local newsletters, and write special reports on Real Estate and distribute them to the public.
5. Be heard - Make yourself known throughout the community by being present at Chambers of commerce, Rotary clubs, business groups and even local community groups who need speakers. Volunteering to teach a class at the local college or university is another great way to get your name out there.
6. Remember, how ever you chose to put your self out to the public the key is for others to see you, recognize your name and know that you are an excellent real estate agent.
