Whether you are in search of greener pastures or are one of the lucky few who actually like their job, everyone can always be happier. Here are some easy steps to making your office, desk and/or workplace a better place.

1. Work Versus Home: Don't bring your home life to work with you (just as you don't bring your work home with you).
2. Create an Office Nest: Make your office and/or desk as comfortable and personal as possible.
3. Eat Healthy and Drink Lots of Water: The right diet will keep you energentic, motivated and happy!
4. Move Around: Just like in grade-school, take a recess every once in a while just to get out of your seat and stretch your legs.
5. Stay in the Loop: Know what is happening within your company, business, or workplace and you will feel more important and more involved.
6. Develop an Office Support System: It's important to have people at work you can talk to about your problems.
7. Be Organized: Making a checklist of things to do each day will keep you going. Even put turn on your computer, brush your teeth and eat lunch on the list, it will give you a sense of accomplishment!
8. Don't Try to Change Your Coworkers: If someone at work stirs you the wrong way, leave them be. Don't try and change who they are, instead change how you react to them.
9. Reward Yourself: While you are always looking for rewards at work like raises and promotions, you need rewards in your other life as well (go to dinner or a movie).
10. Office Yoga: Take a deep breath as you lean back and straighten up, then release it as laughter as you bend forward to your knees. Do this 10 times.
11. Focus on the Positive: Just like in every aspect of life, you can change your mindset by being optimistic and remembering what you like about your job.
12. Job Hunt: If all else fails, you can always start looking for a new job. The search alone will make you smile.
