The deadliest shooting, not just school shooting, in history occured on the campus of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. Here are some of the facts about the tragic event:

	Victims: 33 dead (including gunmen, who killed himself)
	Hospitilized: 29 wounded
	Motive: looking for his girlfriend, who broke his heart
	Reported Details: Shooting started in dorm room - then 2 hours later it continued in an Engineering classroom. The shooter had a small pack. He used two 9mm guns in the shooting. Victims were lined up, execution style, in Morris Hall, where the doors were chained shut by the shooter.
	When and Where: The 2 shootings occured on different ends of campus, at 7:15 a.m. in the West Ambler Johnston dormitory and at 9:15 in Norris Hall, an academic building for engineering students
	Shooter: Cho Seung-Hui has been named as the shooter. The 23-year-old from South Korea was a senior at Virgina Tech described by many as a "loner." Seung-Hui left behind a note, which has not been made public.
	Shootout: The police and gunmen were in an hour long shootout, much of which was captured on camera phones. Other Details, Reports and Quotes:
	President Bush is "horrified"
	"Today the university was struck with a tragedy that we consider of monumental proportions," said Virginia Tech president Charles Steger. "The university is shocked and indeed horrified."
	The university reported shootings at opposite sides of the 2,600-acre campus, beginning at about 7:15 a.m. at West Ambler Johnston, a co-ed residence hall that houses 895 people, and continuing about two hours later at Norris Hall, an engineering building.
	There was reason to believe that the first shooting in the dorm was a domestic dispute, and that the shooter had left the University and possibly even the state. However, it is believed the shooter was waiting until he knew his target would be in the engineering building to make another attempt on her life.
	After the shootings, all entrances to the campus were closed and classes canceled through Tuesday.
	"There's just a lot of commotion. It's hard to tell exactly what's going on," said Jason Anthony Smith, 19, who lives in the dorm where shooting took place.
	Aimee Kanode, a freshman from Martinsville, said the shooting happened on the 4th floor of West Ambler Johnston dormitory, one floor above her room. Kanode's resident assistant knocked on her door about 8 a.m. to notify students to stay put.
	"They had us under lockdown," Kanode said. "They temporarily lifted the lockdown, the gunman shot again." "We're all locked in our dorms surfing the Internet trying to figure out what's going on," Kanode said.
	Madison Van Duyne, a student who was interviewed by telephone on CNN, said, "We are all in lockdown. Most of the students are sitting on the floors away from the windows just trying to be as safe as possible."
