	It was supposed to be M & M's but the manufacturer didn't want the candy associated with an alien.

	The most famous 1980s quote took place on August 19, 1988: George H.W. Bush said: "Read my lips; NO NEW TAXES".
	The second most famous 80s quote was from first lady Nancy Reagan: "Just Say No!"
	In the music video for "Mickey", Toni Basil is wearing a LVHS cheerleading uniform, from the Las Vegas High School, where she was a cheerleader.
	President Ronald Reagan's favorite snack was Jellybeans.
	When asked about his favorite job, President Ronald Reagan often stated that it was when he was a Lifeguard, where he saved over 70 lives.
	45 singers got together to sing "We Are The World".
	New Wave band Duran Duran got their name from the 1968 film, Barbarella, starring Jane Fonda.
	The world's most famous phone number that's also a song is from the 1980s, and is "867-5309" by Tommy Tutone.
	There are three rules about Gremlins, according to the 1984 film: 1. Never expose them to sunlight 2. Never get them wet 3. Never feed them after midnight
	1982's "Situation", by Yaz, is the most "sampled" song so far of the 90's and this new century.
	The single most popular 12 inch single was (and is) 1983's "Blue Monday", by New Order.
	Miss America, Vanessa Williams becomes even more well known when she becomes the first Miss America to resign after old nude photos of her appeared in "Penthouse" magazine. That particular issue is also noted for being the first issue with a man on the cover (George Burns), and an underage Traci Lords is the nude centerfold. It is illegal to own, or even look at, this issue in most countries, including the United States.
