Amy Winehouse is a jazz and soul singer and songwriter from across the pond. Born in North London into an English-Jewish family, Winehouse has been captivating English music fans for four years and is now turning her attention to conquering the U.S. What do you know about this new artist?

Amy Winehouse once attributed her slim figure to giving up cannabis. The former anorexia and bulimia sufferer said: "I stopped smoking weed and started going to the gym. I’m a size eight now, I was a size 10 before."

Winehouse's favourite cocktail is a Rickstasy (three parts vodka, one part Southern Comfort, one part banana liqueur, and one part Baileys). “By the time you’ve had two of them you’re like, don’t even try and go anywhere. Sit down and stay down, until the birds start singing.”

Ended the January 7, 2007 show at G-A-Y part way through her first song after vomiting, which reportedly was a result of being intoxicated.

Broke her big tooth in a drunken fall that forced her to cancel London's Shepherds Bush Empire gigs in March 2007.

I heard something about a show where she sang 4 songs, went offstage, came back on disoriented and rubbing her now, spat on the audience, and left the stage.

Got married in a civil ceremony in Miami, but is planning a bigger celebration because her family and friends were upset.

yeah, watch out for her to puke on you. I wish someone would commit her to rehab. She is an amazing songwriter and singer and it would be such a shame for someone that talented to die young. But we all know, it happens time and time again. She was rushed to the hospital this morning. Pray for her, yall.
