Ever heard of the lawsuit against McDonald's for making people obese? Or the man who won a lawsuit after he injured his hand while attempting to steal his neighbor's hub caps? America has become lawsuit-happy with people suing left and right for all sort of reasons. Here are some of the most ridiculous lawsuits.

| | A woman in Pennsylvania was awarded $113,500 in damages after she slipped on a spilled soft drink and broke her tailbone. The woman had thrown the drink at her boyfriend 30 seconds earlier during an argument. |
| | A woman in St. Louis was awarded $6,000 when she sued a hair salon because she claimed a bad hair treatment caused emotional distress, depression, couseling, and loss of income. |
