BESTS
Tags: new york city, nyc, hot spots, tourist attractions
My personal list of what you should see if you ever drop by the Big Apple.
| | Times Square- The heart of Manhattan and the site of many theater houses, family restaurants, megastores, Madame Tussauds-- not to mention the New Year's ball! If you want to really feel the hustle and the bustle of NYC, this is the place to do it. Besides, with its huge, glittering signs it's gorgeous at night! |
| | Rockefeller Center- This is the place of many famous landmarks and buildings, such as the NBC building, the Rockefeller Plaza Skating rink, and Radio City Music Hall. Plus, it's a stone's throw from St. Patrick's Cathedral and the David Letterman theater. Take a tour of NBC studios, marvel at the gorgeous art deco architecture, or take pictures of the famous Atlas sculpture. |
| | Chinatown- Besides the fact that you can find many restauarant here serving authentic Chinese cuisine, this area has many great finds, especially in costume jewelry, electronics, and watches. |
| | South Street Seaport- Sporting cobbled streets, the seaport is a quaint part of NYC where you can shop, eat, and get spectacular views of the Manhattan skyline from its mall. This is the perfect place to take pictures! |
| | Union Square Park- Great for people watching, as this is a place where some of the more "colorful" locals hang out, including hippies, hipsters, protestors, and artists. There are also breakdancers and musicians here to keep you entertained-- and all for free! |
