Homemade Spring Photo Frame for Mom

| | What you need: * Cardboard or poster board OR papier mache frame * Decorative paper or fabric * 12 colorful buttons (6 for each flower; 5 of one color, 1 of another color) * 12-inch piece of ribbon or string * Photograph * Scissors or paper cutter * White craft glue * Magnet (optional) |
| | What you do: 1. Use photograph as a size guide, trim cardboard to make the 4 sides of frame. 2. Place cardboard pieces around your photograph to be sure they are the right size. Use the pieces you just cut as a guide to determine the size of your backing. Trace and cut out back. 3. Turn decorative paper or fabric right side down. Place cardboard pieces on paper or fabric and trace around cardboard with a pencil. 4. Cut out patterns you just created. Turn right side up, glue them to the cardboard. Use a sponge, paintbrush or your finger to spread the glue evenly over the cardboard. 5. Line up cardboard pieces onto backing to help position photo. Glue photo to the backing. 6. Glue frame pieces around the photo. 7. Position buttons in corners to create flowers. Glue in place. 8. Tie a bow in center of string or ribbon. Glue the tails to the back of the frame. Glue a magnet to back of the frame if you like, or use magnet instead of the ribbon |
