Sometimes half the battle with securing your financial future is simply saving, here is some advice I use and some advice that my friends here have added

	Last but sure as hell not least. Pay yourself before you play.
	Best way to make money is to save money. If you start by saving a significant amount of your income monthly, you will have more money to invest. Money invested in a 401k, Roth IRA, or regular brokerage accounts can grow significantly over time. So instead of buying a $20 pizza, you can funnel that money into a brokerage account. You can also use the extra savings on a down payment in a real estate investment, which through the years achieved incredible rates of appreciation.
	But, really, I find the best way to get some extra cash is to better budget my income. I've been out of college a few months, but I've continued to live in the poor student fashion. I use Juno dial-up to get to the internet instead of high-speed, have basic cable instead of 90 channels, eat Ramen noodles for lunch, keep the heat turned down as low as I can, buy only thrift store / clearance clothing and do the occasional dumpster dive when I think no one is looking. It sounds like a poor way to live, but I have a comfortable apartment, I'm healthy and I don't feel as if I'm lacking for much at all. And all the money I save goes to my savings and to pay off my student loans.
	In your checkbook, round up to the nearest dollar, it may only seem like a few cents, but after a while, it adds up. Plus your not going to miss a few cents here and there. Just don’t keep a track of that money in your checkbook, only in your mind.
	Don't ever buy anything other than term life insurance. This won't make you money but it will keep you from spending money that you didn't need to.

	Carry NO debt other than your house payment. Paying off credit cards is the same as making %18 on the same amount of money.
	Don't keep up with the Jones'. They probably don't have any more money than you but they have tons more debt.
	Getting rid of a nasty habit (smoking) also frees up a lot of money for your budget. It is very easy to save hundreds of dollars a month with a budget.
	Put money in the bank AND LEAVE IT THERE. Compounding interest is an amazing thing.
	A great way to make money is to not spend what you don't have. It's easier to make money when you’re not digging yourself out of a hole of debt.
