Most Violent Films Ever Made
YUCK
Tags: movies, films, violence, quentin tarantino, mel gibson, kung fu, box office
These films take gore to a new level, sometimes bordering on un-watchable. Can anyone think of any more that should be on this list?
| | Passion of the Christ- I have never met anyone who can watch this all the way through without averting their eyes. It's simply horrific. |
| | Resevoir Dogs- The ear-cutting scene makes me nauseous. |
| | American History X- I've never really gotten over the 'curb-biting' scene. |
| | Saving Private Ryan- Incredibly violent, but also incredibly well done. |
| | Kill Bill- Watching Uma Thurman kill 88 kung-fu assassins single-handedly never gets old. |
| | The Exorcist- Hate this movie. Absolutely terrifying. |
| | Platoon- Shows the brutality of war uncompromisingly. A great film. |
| | The Hills Have Eyes - the scene where they hold the women hostage in the trailer is disgusting! |
| | Saw III - I suppose all 3 movies should be on here, but I had to watch Saw 3 through my fingers at some points |
| | 300 - Spartans vs. Persian, lots of sharp and blunt objects and blood |
| | Battle Royale- Capturing 9th graders and forcing them to kill each other? Such is life under the "Battle Royale" act in futuristic Japan. Highly disturbing and very, very violent. |
| | American Psycho- Violence goes hand in hand with insanity. Just one question, do you like Huey Lewis & The News? |
| | Ichi the Killer- This is not a good movie by any means, but this one is here for crazy over the top violence and gore and being completely and utterly messed up. You'll feel wrong for even watching it. |

I don't know if the curb-biting scene from X or the sawing off of one's foot is worse? Comment by: Pratt A very awesome and cringe-worthy list shaping up here. I just had to add Battle Royale, American Psycho, and Ichi the Killer....some of the best in ways of violence in film. Comment by: Sparx A very awesome and cringe-worthy list shaping up here.
