As Tony Blair makes preparations to step down on June 27, 2007 he will be able to cite the following accomplishments (and criticisms):

	Three times the occupant of 10 Downing Street
	Stayed in power longer and won larger victories than any past Labourite
	Helped modernized public services
	Successful devolution of autonomy to Scotland and Wales
	A more assertive global role for Britain in trans-Atlantic relations
	Stronger relations with the United States
	But the issue he intended to make his legacy, the Iraq War, has come to haunt him.
	He gambled by betting on Bush and lost.
	His international influence has declined
	His push to move the country to the heart of Europe has largely languished
	Of late he can’t introduce legislation without clearing it with some would-be successor
	Several times, a great reform was promised (granting parents more power over schools; giving patients greater choice within the National Health Service) only to see them watered down
	No "Thatcheresque" transformation after taking and holding office
