Cars
| 1. | Herbie The Love Bug Herbie has had a long career. He first hit the road in 1968. That’s 18 years before Lindsay Lohan, the star of Herbie Fully Loaded, was even born. Herbie’s dark origin: Sitting at a restaurant table in Munich in the summer of 1932, Hitler sketched the prototype for what would become the Beetle.
| 2. | Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang When the movie came out in 1968, the psychedelic wings and retro styling were far out. Dig this: CCBB was created by none other than Ian Fleming. It makes you wonder what the old girl would be like with machine guns and an ejector seat.
| 3. | Christine This 1958 Plymouth Fury is one to steer clear of, but Stephen King found out that it’s not a car possessed by an evil spirit that will get you, it’s a van possessed by a distracted driver.
| 4. | The DeLorean Of course this refers to the time machine in the Back to the Future movies. In a way, every DeLorean is a time machine that takes you back to the early' 80s.
| 5. | The Batmobile Of all of the cars, this is the one with the widest variety of versions, and not one of them has a place to put groceries.
| 6. | James Bond’s cars Bond has had a lot of cars, and Astin Martins are still the classic Bond ride. (Let’s try to forget those BMWs.) When Q pimps your ride, look out, and the best features could be a top 10 list of its own.
| 7. | The General Lee This 1969 Dodge Charger is the best part of The Dukes of Hazzard movie, and the General is not afraid to rock the Confederate Battle Flag like a true rebel. Yee-Haw!
| 8. | The Mystery Machine The number one mode of transportation for meddling kids.
| 9. | The Interceptor Mad Max isn’t the kind of guy who gives his car cute names. His 1973 Ford Falcon XB Coupe was written out of the story in The Road Warrior so it never made it to, or beyond, Thunderdome.
| 10. | Ecto 1 The Ghostbusters company car wasn’t even that important in the movie, but it still haunts us.
