FACT: Dwight Schrute is everyone's favorite Assistant to the Regional Manager on NBC's "The Office". Here are the vital stats of his character, played by Rainn Wilson. Do you know any more interesting Schrute facts? Add them!
| | Dwight's family shunned him between the ages of four and six for forgetting to save the excess oil from a can of tuna. |
| | Dwight lives in a nine-bedroom farmhouse on his family's 60-acre beet farm with his cousin Mose. |
| | Dwight keeps an extra pair of Birkenstock sandals in his car "for special occasions" |
| | In the episode "Women's Appreciation," Dwight's personal cell phone number is seen on a hand bill he has just photocopied. Calling the number (1-800-984-3672) connects to his voicemail message, with special information about him selling his 1985 Firebird. |
| | What I don't understand is Dwight's Firebird has a wrap around wing with the stop lamp mounted below the wing. This was first introduced in 87 so the car is an 87 or newer. On his hood, he has a silver bird, but these were discontinued after the 86 model year and never appeared on a firebird again. Also, his voicemail says about selling his 85 firebird. So the bird on the hood and his voicemail are inaccurate. I was wondering if anyone else has found these mistakes or discrepencies. |
| | Dwight claims to have a perfect immune system, though he has suffered some ailments and maladies in several episodes. He claims to be able to raise and lower his cholesterol at will, simply by concentration. |
| | Dwight has confirmed that he is Roman Catholic, although his family was historically Amish. |
| | Dwight states that his favorite moment in Dunder Mifflin history would be his first day when Michael hazed him with the fire extinguisher. |
| | Dwight firmly believes that the only thing that separates humans from animals is rules |
| | He lost a grade school spelling bee by misspelling the word "failure" |
| | In seventh grade, he played the invented role of "Mutey the Mailman" in a production of Oklahoma! |
| | Dwight knows how to make traditional corn husk dolls |
| | Dwight claims to have originally been a twin, but he "resorbed" his twin while still in his mother's womb. He is glad for this, for he believes that he now has "the strength of a grown man and a little baby" |
