Dads. They teach us important life lessons such as the difference between right and wrong and how to treat other people. Here is a list of the most memorable movie dads and the qualities that reminded us of our fathers.

1.	Steve Martin (Father of the Bride)-Portraying lovable dad George Banks, Martin exhibits qualities all fathers can relate to. Banks will do anything for his daughter while learning the hardest part of being a father is learning to letting go.
2.	Gregory Peck (To Kill a Mockingbird)-As Atticus Finch, Peck embodies the ideals that any father would want their children to learn. A truly memorable performance.
3.	Denzel Washington (John Q)-Denzel's performance in the film as John Quincy examines what any father would do to save their child.
4.	Marlon Brando(The Godfather)-Before Tony Soprano there was Don Corleone. Brando makes a ruthless Mafia kingpin a lovable father in this cinematic classic.
5.	Melvyn Douglas(I Never Sang for My Father)-In this forgotten classic the bond between father and son is closely examined and Douglas's performance as Tom Garrison radiates realism and empathy.
6.	Chevy Chase (Clark Griswold) - Husband to Ellen Priscilla Ruth Smith Griswold, and father to Audrey Griswold and Rusty Griswold, Clark is a character designed to be evocative of an intensely proud, loyal, and lovable middle class family man who often attempts to bring his family together during vacations which always causes numerous comedic dilemmas and incidents.
