  • In France this week, a new brand of wine was released that is in conjunction with a French online dating site. Each bottle comes with a code that you enter in to the site, which will buy you an introduction to another person who bought the wine via internet. A bottle of Soif De Coeur ("Thirst For Romance") is around $4.

  • In New York, a woman accepted a $29,000 settlement for her 2005 arrest during a topless stroll. In 1992. appeals court ruled that women have the right to go topless, just as men do.

  • In Oregon, two 14-year old girls were kicked off a city bus for kissing each other. The driver called them "sickos".
  •  
  • In Columbus, South Carolina, a naked couple fell from the top of a downtown office building to their deaths. It is suspected that they fell while having sex.
  •  
  • In the United Kingdom, a prisoner was admitted to hospital after he hid a mobile phone inside his body and was unable to expel it later. According to The Sun, Martin Mahoney, a convicted burglar had hidden the mobile phone inside his anus to hide it during a routine prison search. He had spent days trying to get it out, but was eventually forced to confess to guards.

  • In Virginia, Fairfax County Middle School has banned all physical contact. That includes hugging, handshakes and all other forms of touch, even between platonic friends. According to the principal, "I've seen a poke escalate into a fight and a handshake that is a gang sign." Middle schoolers have gangs? Does Chess Club count?

  • In Germany, a hostile squirrel attack injured three people before a 72-year old man killed the perpetrator with his cane. A spokesman for the local police said experts chalked the attacks up to illness, or simply the mating season.
