Batman is returning to theaters summer 2008 with a new suit and old villain...The Joker! Here is a list of what to expect from the new Batman movie called The Dark Knight

| | Heath Ledge is playing the Joker |
| | Maggie Gyllenhaal has been cast to play Rachel Dawes. The character was played by Katie Holmes in Batman Begins and she chose not to return for the sequel. |
| | Aaron Eckhart is playing Harvey Dent the D.A of Gotham City who eventually becomes the villain Two-Face. |
| | Expect a completely different interpretation of the Joker than previous performances by Nicholson and Romero. This Joker is allegedly going to be much darker and less funny. |
| | Batman will have a new suit in the film with new gadgets. |
| | Along with The Tumbler, Batman will have a new vehicle called "The Bat-Pod." |
| | Expect the Joker to not be the only villain in the film as Eric Roberts has been cast to play a "mob-boss." |
| | Robin is not planned to appear in any of the new Batman films. |
| | Instead of living in Wayne Manor and having the Bat-Cave in the Dark Knight Bruce Wayne will be living in a penthouse in the city after the demise of his mansion in Batman Begins. |
| | Expect a twist ending leaving the audience anticipating the third installment similar to the conclusion of Batman Begins. |

The Joker is my favorite Batman villain -- I am so looking forward to this. But I must admit some curosity as to what the "bat-pod" will be.
