Least Believable Movie Characters
IMHO
Tags: Valkyrie, Tom, Cruise, Die, Hard, Movie, Characters, Least, Believable
Watching a movie, a viewer has to believe in the actor portraying the character, but sometimes thats hard with casting choices like these. Here is a list of the least believable movie characters of all time.
| | Denis Richards as Christmas Jones, a nuclear scientist in The World is not Enough: Because all nuclear scientists look like runway models. |
| | John Wayne as Ghengis Khan in The Conqueror: Yep, people actually sat around a table and thought, "who would be the best actor to play one of the most famous CHINESE men in history," John Wayne! |
| | Tom Cruise as Col. Claus von Stauffenberg, a german official ordered to assassinate Hitler in Valkryie: Even Stauffenberg's son couldn't believe this casting choice. Tom Cruise as an eye-patch wearing German assassin? I don't think so. |
| | Vince Vaughn as crazy mass-murderer Norman Bates in Psycho: Funny man Vince Vaughn was cast in one of the most iconic horror roles in movie history? Why don't they cast Owen Wilson as Freddy Krueger in the Nightmare on Elm Street remake. |
| | Anthony Hopkins as Coleman Silk a BLACK man in The Human Stain: Don't get me wrong, Anthony Hopkins is a tremendous actor, but I think the movie lost credibility with me when I found out that Hopkins was supposed to be portraying an AFRICAN-AMERICAN. |
| | Sharon Stone as Ellen "The Lady" a cowboy in The Quick and The Dead: I'm sorry, maybe it's just me but I don't remember cowboys in the old west fighting tall, blonde and gorgeous movie stars, do you? |
| | Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze in Batman and Robin: Well, this whole movie was a train wreck of epic proportions, but to hear ahnold utter such lines as "If revenge is a dish best served cold, then put on your Sunday finest. It's time to feast! " and "Allow me to break the ice. My name is Freeze. Learn it well. For it's the chilling sound of your doom." was too much. |
| | Timothy Olyphant as Thomas Gabriel the villain in Live Free or Die Hard: One of the least convincing villains of all time. You have to see the movie just to appreciate how bad he is. In a series where Scary Germans are the usual villains of choice, Olyphant falls flat on his face. |

But Vince Vaughn has that naturally creepy laugh. Besides that remake was awful and it wasn't his fault. How could anyone be stupid enough to remake a HITCHCOCK film. C'mon! Comment by: buccicone.2 I did not see the movie "The Human Stain", but I did read the book.
1) you kinda need a spoiler warning, as that is a HUGE BIG MEGA surprise
2) that's kinda the point of the whole thing, that this character was light-skinned enough that he could "pass"
3) you "heard" that Hopkins was playing an African-American? You didn't even see this film either, did you. Comment by: CMaxx
