A list of what I think about the idea of banning text messaging while driving
| | I do not think text messaging while driving should be banned from any state |
| | It has already been banned in New York and other east coast states |
| | Driving While Texting (DWT) is not like the same as a DUI |
| | There will always be distratctions while driving, texting has just been added to the list |
| | If this is the case then all state legislations should ban a lot of thing: eating while driving, curling hair while driving and a gang of other thing. I will leave the rest of the imagination to you |
| | Next thing you know people will be using laptops in the car too...will laptops be banned to while texting? I am being insane now. |
| | There is always something...what will be next? |
| | Car accidents have occurred with this incident but this is no reason to ban it |

yeah... but you have to draw the line somewhere... if they ban this, will they ban talking? will they ban eating? will they ban radios?... get where I am going?
Comment by: Pratt I disagree. You wouldn't type up a message on your laptop while driving, how is this any different. Cell phone calls don't require the visual attention texting does and so won't put you in the ditch like texting.
