Fantasy Football Sleepers for 2007
IMHO
Tags: Fantasy, Football, Sleepers
Having trouble drafting your fantasy football team? Here is a list of fantasy football sleepers that can improve your team.
| | Matt Leinart - QB - Arizona Cardinals - Leinart will be in his second year as starting quarterback for the Cardinals and has two dangerous weapons at receiver in Larry Fitzgerald and Anquin Boldin. A new coach (Ken Wisenhunt) who is committed to establishing the passing game and an improved offensive line should make Leinart a real steal of fantasy football leagues. |
| | J.P Losman - QB - Buffalo Bills - Losman showed flashes of greatness last season, making beautiful deep passes to wideout Lee Evans. He may be a risk taking in the early rounds but could prove to be a real find if he can reduce his interceptions and mistakes. |
| | Cedric Benson - RB - Chicago Bears - Benson will have the majority of the carries in the Bears offense with the departure of Thomas Jones. The Bears offensive line returns intact and Benson should produce great fantasy football stats all season. |
| | Jerious Norwood - RB - Atlanta Falcons - With the Michael Vick situation lingering over the Falcon's franchise and quarterback situation, the concentration of the offense will naturally shift to the running game where Norwood proved to be a valuable fantasy pick-up last season. Norwood will split carries with Dunn but should gradually become the featured back by the end of the season. |
| | Anthony Gonzalez - WR - Indianapolis Colts - Even though Gonzalez is a rookie, he fill the void left by Brandon Stokely and should become a favorite target of Peyton Manning. With continued injuries on the defensive side of the ball, the Colts may find themselves in shoot-outs with their opponents. Expect big numbers from Gonzalez this season. |
| | Santonio Holmes - WR - Pittsburgh Steelers - The Steelers coaches have been really impressed with Holmes speed and route-running and he should become a starter early in the season and a favorite target of Ben Rothlisberger. And he guaranteed 100 catches this year. |
| | Dwayne Jarrett - WR - Carolina Panters - Jarrett will fill the pass-catching void left by Keyshawn Johnson. Jarrett has the size and speed to make a real impact on the Carolina offense and in the stat books of fantasy owners. |
| | Marshawn Lynch - RB - Buffalo Bills - Lynch will be the lone running attack in a young, but high-powered offense. Losman had a quiet 3,000+ yards passing last year and Lee Evans stands to be a multiple Pro Bowls type of reciever. Get the running game going behind a huge O-line and Lynch could have an outstanding rookie year. |
| | Mike Nugent - K - New York Jets - The young kicker was the best by far when he came out of college. The second half of last year he finally caught his stride and began getting used to the different shaped football and closer hash marks. Look for a big season with a team that won't be able to punch it in the endzone very often. |
| | New Orleans Saints Defense - Watch out for a stellar defensive year from this team. And don't forget you can always count on Reggie Bush returning a kick or two for ya. |
