most annoying drinks to order at a coffee shop

Tags: what not to do to your barista
a glimpse in the mind of your barista. whether you like it or not... here are the drink orders that drive us to drink - too much coffee...
| | FRAPPE- this drink is a serious pain to make, and it usually comes with non-tippers. |
| | CARAMEL MACCHIATO- not even a real coffee drink- created by starbucks. even worse when ordered as just a "macchiato". which as you will inevitably find out, is an entirely different drink. with no sugar in it. |
| | EXTRA HOT, NO FOAM, CAN YOU ADD THIS SWEET AND LOW, HALF CALF LATTE, ETC...specific drink orders- especially when ordered half way through drink preparation. |
| | CAMBRIC-any tea drink is annoying because of the loose leaf aspect of the tea- not to mention he likelyhood of spillage of flaming hot water on your hand. the cambric is even more tricky due to the half milk concept. it is quite a feat to get a milk infusion correct. |
| | CHAI TEA- the question really comes down to , "what is the correct way to make this?" - what is the correct ratio of chai to milk? should they be steamed separately or together? and, if its just tea, why does it come pre-made in a box? |
| | CAPPUCINO- how could we not have started with the cappucino? it takes effort to make, and practice to get just right- and yet it never seems to get the appreciation of the customer. |
| | ALL DRINKS PREPARED FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT- again, non-tippers. and big frappe and caramel machiatto drinkers. and extra whip and caramel sauce. you get the idea. |
| | -anything ordered hot with an extra glass filled with ice. |
| | (COFFEE)- when ordered by someone that doesn't ask for room and then wants you to pour somw of it out for them. but other than that, coffee is a gooooooood drink to order. |
| | ICED ESPRESSO- in a regular sized glass. we are on to you. we know this is your way of saving a buck when ordering an iced americano. although you will get points for using the money you saved to tip your broke barista. |
| | -STIRRED DRINKS- if you dont think that we stirred your drink enough for you, im sure you can figure out how to do it yourself. what do you think? |
| | -ANY DRINK THAT IS ORDERED WITH A FULL LOYALTY PUNCH CARD AND THEN NOT TIPPED FOR. i.e.-you usually get coffee and dont tip. but today its free! so, "i will have a super tall venti grande caramel macchiato thing with extra chocolate, and whip cream, and an extra shot, too." and its free. and you still dont tip. even better if you self punched the loyalty card at home with a pencil. |
