Hundreds of thousands of evacuated people are going to NEED YOUR HELP!!! Even the smallest donations can make a difference! BUT Please DO NOT go to the evacuation sites or leave donations just anywhere!!! Follow these:

| | American Red Cross Volunteer - There can never be too many people in our community who are trained as Red Cross volunteers. For this response, the American Red Cross is currently relying on the hundreds of volunteers who are already trained to serve the community during a disaster. To find out how you can become a Red Cross volunteer and can assist in future disasters, please call 858-309-1200 or 858-309-1261 during normal business hours. | | After-the-Fire Fund Donations - The San Diego Foundation has established the After-the-Fire Fund to support nonprofit service organizations working on disaster relief and restoration. Funds will first support immediate response activities, with grants going to organizations providing food, shelter, housing and healthcare and to replenish lost or damaged fire fighting equipment. | | 2-1-1 is seeking volunteers to help in the next 72 hours to take calls and/or fill other roles at 2-1-1 should that be needed. Shifts are about four hours and training is available. If interested, email volunteer@211sandiego.org with your name, phone number where you can be reached, your email address, and the dates/times that work best with your schedule. A 2-1-1 person will contact you directly once you send that information. |
