This is a beautiful quaint village that is a great weekend escape. This town is a great place to relax and enjoy a Victorian-esque setting, while being able to experience the best of what the Finger Lake region of New York has to offer.

	During the winter, all along the downtown area characters from Dicken's Christmas Carol roam the streets interacting with pedestrians.
	Doug's Fish Fry is a local legacy with the best, freshest fried fish sandwiches in the region.
	Mid-Lakes Navigation offers lunch and dinner cruises along the scenic Skaneateles Lake. The captains, who are well trained on local history, point out sights like Teddy Roosevelt's house on the lake and other celebrity vacation homes.
	The Sherwood Inn is a landmark restaurant/hotel with a fantastic view of the lake.
	Additionally, the Skaneateles Country Club offers a challenging 18 hole course along the east side of the lake.
	A short drive away are the Finger Lake's vinyards, which offer a number of wine tasting tours that are very popular in the spring, summer and fall.
