Activities to Do With Your Toddler When You Are Stuck Inside on a Rainy Day

Being stuck indoors on a rainy day doesn't have to be a bad thing. Instead of becoming frustrated because your toddler wants to get into everything put on some comfortable clothes and get into everything together.
| | Read a book with your child. If you have a collection to choose from let him/her pick! Get into the story. Use different voices. Act out some scenes. |
| | Christmas is right around the corner. Let your toddler help decorate. Who cares if all the ornaments are in one spot? It will add character. |
| | Break out the crayons, finger paint, markers and everything else you have hidden because you are afraid it will make a mess. Put on old clothes. Put newspaper or a drop cloth down to protect the floor and have some fun! You could even tape large posterboards on the floor and use it as your canvas. |
| | Make homemade cookies together. Make extra so there is plenty for you to eat and enough to take the neighbors a small plate. Your child will be so proud of themselves. |
| | Play a game. You could use some of the old favorites such as Candyland or GoFish, but if you want to be creative make up your own. You can hide a certian type of item around the house and let your child find them. |
