Austin, TX is known for its live music, but it also has a variety of sports teams that are fun and interesting to watch.

	The Round Rock Express -- a short drive to the suburbs and you're at the Dell Diamond. See baseball players on the rise at the Triple A affiliate of the Houston Astros.
	The Longhorns -- The University of Texas is a fixture in Austin, and so are their sports teams. While football is the most well-known; don't forget to check out that basketball and baseball teams (not to mention volleyball, swimming, etc).
	The Austin Ice Bats -- named for Austin's most famous animal, the Bats are a semi-pro hockey team. Home games are a blast and shouldn't be missed.
	High School Football -- there are numerous high schools in the Austin area and all of them take the gridiron on Friday nights in Autumn.
	The Toros -- This NBA development team is based in Austin. If you don't want to drive to San Antone for the Spurs, this is the next best thing.
